Why should you convert to LPG ?

Environmentally Friendly:

Compared to petrol, vehicles running on LP Gas emit around 12% less CO2 and around 30% less oxides of nitrogen (NOx), Hydrocarbons (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO). Compared to diesel there is around 90% less NOx, 1/50th of particulates and only 1/500th of the ultra fine particles.

The main air quality pollutants of concern in the UK are particulates and NOx where in Central London road traffic causes 93% of all particulate emissions and 58% of all NOx emissions. Department of Health statistics show that particulates are responsible for several thousand advanced deaths each year and many thousands of instances of illness and reduced activity.

Cash Friendly:

Each year over the last 8 years duty on LP Gas has either been frozen or reduced owing to its environmental advantages. In the March 2001 Budget the duty on LP Gas was reduced by 40% and frozen in real terms until 2004. This has resulted in a forecourt price for LP Gas of around half that for petrol and diesel. However the distance travelled per litre is approximately 20% less than for petrol, owing to its lower volumetric energy density.

So having your vehicle converted to run on LPG makes it cleaner, greener, cheaper to run, and often increases the vehicle's value!

... and remember, you can run back on petrol at any time, with the flick of a switch - effectively giving you up to twice the range with both petrol and LPG tanks full.

Grants & Finance:

Your vehicle may be eligible for a grant towards the cost of conversion, or you may wish to consider finance to spread the cost, whilst still paying less per month, when combined with your LPG costs, than your previous monthly petrol costs!
